What High Energy Achieves

05 Nov 2009

Not the Steve Ballmer kind of high energy, and definitely not the excess sugar/caffeine/crack in my blood kind of high energy, but more the Mark Zuckerberg kind of high energy.

You know what I'm talking about. It's like these guys are constantly on the battlefield with time, out there in the field fighting, down there in the trenches battling with Mr. Time. Mr. Time gives them only a fixed quantity of raw material, non-negotiable. People with high energy think they deserve more raw material. So they respond by multiplying their energy and doing twice as many things twice as fast. It's incredible.

High energy people are amazing. I'm sure you know at least one of these people in your own life. They just seem to be moving so much faster than everyone else, it's mind-blowing. Their output is twice as high, their productivity twice as high, their energy twice as high, and their enthusiasm twice as high. Never tiring, always active, and always elastic in attitude. And this is both at 7AM or 2AM, it doesn't matter.

High energy is highly contagious, much more than the flu. The more time you spend around them, the more energy you get injected into you. Infiltrating their circle and stealing their secret for abnormally high energy levels is just a simple matter of hanging out with them more often. Especially when they're "in action" on the battlefield.
